Our Mission...

Everyone’s talking about the big companies, but did you know Australia’s small business sector contributes more than half a billion dollars to the national GDP (gross domestic product) and provides jobs for 5.1 million people in one financial year?

So let’s talk about them!

Adam & Keily are two small business owners who faced the challenge of having like minded individuals to discuss business topics with. With inspiration from a financial board game and wanting to create a supportive business-minded community, the idea of a podcast came along.

In this podcast we will showcase the small businesses.
They will tell their stories; How they got to where they are, what got them started, what obstacles have they faced, what are their plans for the future?

Through this platform we share our ins and outs of our own businesses from starting up, to financials, hurdles, expectations, & so much more.

Founder: Sculpt Space & Sculpt Space Academy

Keily’s journey in the beauty industry began over a decade ago. Falling in love with the field during high school, she knew she wanted to become a beauty therapist. At 18, she left her rural life in Country Victoria for the big city life in Melbourne to pursue her dreams.

She quickly advanced to salon manager but realised her true calling was beyond making someone else’s dreams come true.

In 2019, Keily opened her own studio, offering high-quality lash and brow services. She dedicated herself to mastering her craft, learning from industry-leading experts, and within months, her business was fully booked and thriving. This success fueled her ambition to expand her services to include cosmetic tattooing.

Driven by a passion to share her expertise, Keily is now shifting her focus to mentoring and educating other artists, emphasising not just the importance of high-quality services but also exceptional customer service and sound business practices. Her goal is to leverage her decade of industry experience to help other artists rapidly grow their businesses into successful beauty empires.

Having grown up within a family run business, Keily is understands the importance of supporting small businesses, and is excited for this new project @justkeepswimming.podcast which will allow business owners to tell their stories & share their experiences, hopefully inspiring others along the way.

Adam De Luca

Founder: AJD Fitness & AJD Supps

Adam launched his personal training business in 2020, driven by the realisation that he, like many others, felt out of place in large gym environments. Determined to spare others this discomfort, he founded AJD Fitness. Starting in his parent’s garage, where he felt most at ease, Adam dedicated himself to creating a warm and inviting training space for his clients.

As AJD Fitness expanded, Adam transitioned to a private commercial space in 2023, refining his approach to face-to-face personal training and catering to individuals seeking an intimate workout environment. Since then, the business has thrived, expanding to include a team of three trainers, a dietitian, and additional services such as a supplement store and online coaching. Adam’s recent acquisition of a second training facility stands as a testament to his hard work and dedication.

Adam’s journey showcases the importance of pursuing one’s passion and understanding their niche, and how these elements can lead to a successful business. By remaining true to his vision, he has built a business that continues to evolve and grow, eagerly anticipating what lies ahead.
